Aritar Lake IN Rhenock

Rhenock is a small town in East district in the Indian state of Sikkim, located at 27.176622N 88.6432'E. It lies 63 kilometres east of Gangtok on the way to Jelepla Pass at an altitude of 1,040. The word Rhe-nock (in Lepcha dialect) means Black Hill. Situated in the extreme east of Sikkim, Rhenock witnessed the establishment of first police out post in the state, which is the historical event.

Aritar

Aritar is a region in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim under Rongli Sub-Division. It is known for its natural and landscaped beauty. It is located on the edge of the Himalayas, and can be reached in about four hours' drive from Gangtok via either Pakyong or Rangpo.
Isolated from the rest of the state, on the far eastern border of Sikkim and bounded by Mt. Kanchendzonga, the region is characterized by lush forest, mountains and rivers. The Aritar Lake (Ghati-Tso) is a nearby attraction, as are traditional villages and monasteries such as Lingsay. Visitors may also stay in a British-built bungalow of 1895 located 0.5 kilometres (0.31 mi) below the lake.

Thambi View Point:

The Thane View Point, which is located at a height of 11,000 ft, is another popular attraction of Zuluk. One can catch a beautiful sight of sunrise along with the eastern Himalayas.

Kalpokhari Lake:

Kalpokhari Lake, which is located close to Adi Baba Mandir, is one of the well known attractions of Zuluk. Various wild ducks can be spotted swimming in this lake. In the winter season, water of the lake becomes frozen.

Tukla Valley:

Tuluk Valley, which is located at an elevation of around 12,500 ft, is another well known valley of Zuluk. This valley contains the famous war memorial, which was constructed to commemorate the death of British soldiers who died in the Battle of Tukla. One can also explore Jelep La Pass that is situated close to this attraction.

Tsomogo Lake:

Tsomogo Lake, which is one of the famous tourist attractions, is a kilometre long and 50 ft deep. Oval in shape, the lake is considered to be a popular picnic spot. Home to Brahminic ducks and migratory birds, the lake is considered sacred by the locals.
The months of May and August are ideal to view a large variety of blooming flowers. These flowers include primulas, rhododendrons and yellow and blue poppies. Besides, travellers can also spot red pandas at this place.
